Hi, I’m Cory, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with Hope Therapy in Spanish Fork, Utah.
As a neurodivergent therapist, I understand that traditional therapy does not always fit the way every person processes, connects, communicates, or experiences the world. My goal is to create a space where you can show up as yourself without judgment, pressure to conform, or the need to mask.
I enjoy working with neurodivergent individuals, couples, and families as they navigate relationships, communication, sensory sensitivities, burnout, emotional overwhelm, and the daily stress of living in a world often designed around the “typical” brain. Whether you are autistic, have ADHD, identify as neurodivergent, or are still exploring what language fits your experience, my approach is affirming, practical, and centered on what works for you.
The name Dec El Do reflects my appreciation for different ways of thinking. It is a nod to the duodecimal system, a number system that sees 10, 11, and 12 differently than the standard decimal system. I like that idea because therapy can be similar. Sometimes growth begins when we stop forcing ourselves into systems that were never designed for us and start honoring the way our minds naturally work.
Your mind is not broken. It may simply be wired differently, and that difference deserves understanding, support, and respect.
If you are looking for a therapist who truly gets it, someone who will not tell you to “just try harder,” but will help you build strategies that fit your brain, I would be honored to connect. You do not have to fit into the world’s mold. We can work together to create a life that fits you.
Outside of therapy, I am a Swiftie, a 3D printing enthusiast, a parent of six, and a grandparent to twin granddaughters. I love hiking and spending time outdoors, especially when I need space to reset, reflect, and reconnect.
Music has always been one of the ways I connect with myself, others, and the world around me. When I have time, I enjoy attending music meditation groups and spending time in spaces where sound, creativity, and reflection come together.
These parts of my life help shape how I show up as a therapist. I value creativity, connection, humor, depth, and the many different ways people make meaning in their lives.
